RTC Hosts Business Stakeholder Meeting
The Transforming Virginia Street project team held a stakeholder meeting with Midtown businesses on Thursday, December 6 at The Saint. The team provided a construction update and information on future operations anticipated summer 2019. Attendees were encouraged to provide feedback and ideas on construction activities and outreach to-date and to ask questions. A new project flyover video featuring future Virginia Street improvements is now on the project website.
A special edition stakeholder update will be distributed next week with more detailed information discussed during this meeting.

Week of December 10, 2018
- Various side street closures at Taylor Street, Martin Street and Cheney Street at Virginia Street. Side streets will not be closed at the same time.
- Lane shifts throughout the project corridor.
Construction will temporarily shut-down from Friday, December 21, 2018 to Wednesday, January 2, 2019.
The RTC project team is coordinating closely with other construction projects happening near the corridor.
NV Energy is working on a gas main replacement on Wells Avenue, between Moran Street and Ryland Street. Night work is possible. Please call (702) 402-5555 for more information.
Truckee Meadows Water Authority is anticipated to begin work on improvements between Gordon Avenue and Arlington Avenue. Please call (775) 834-8080 for more information.
