03 Apr Virginia Street Project Weekly Update | April 3, 2020

• Thoma Street will be closed beginning Monday, April 6 for approximately three weeks for installation of a new Truckee Meadows Water Authority (TMWA) box structure.
• Paving operations are anticipated to begin the week of April 6 on Virginia Street from Center Street to Mt. Rose Street. Virginia Street is closed to through traffic.  Please use Holcomb Avenue.

28 Dec Virginia Street Project Weekly Update | December 28, 2020

Reno, Nevada (December 28, 2020) – Construction on the Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Washoe County’s Virginia Street Project, both near the University and in Midtown, is now substantially complete. The final piece of the Virginia Street Project will be the extension of the RAPID Virginia Line service to the University in early 2021.

Junkee’s New GOLD Room Grand Opening

Junkee Clothing Exchange and Antiques is growing! Junkee GOLD will have its grand opening event on April 4 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. with an art show, music and refreshments. The new GOLD room features their finest costumes, festival wear, and vintage clothing.

Businesses at the Sticks Center in Midtown are working together to boost sales during construction of the Virginia Street Project. The businesses are holding a joint super sale on Saturday, February 2 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. to encourage the community to continue to support Midtown businesses.
