Midtown transformation is taking shape! DowntownMakeover.com features the project including new Midtown photos in Mike Van Houten’s May 18 feature article.
Construction on the roundabout at Center/Mary Streets continues and is only partially open at this time. For everyone’s safety, please SLOW DOWN, obey traffic signs and pay attention as you drive through the roundabout. At this time, traffic is only one-way via a southbound detour through the east side of the roundabout.
Construction Look Ahead
All operations are weather permitting.
• Virginia Street is one-way southbound from Liberty Street to Vassar Street.
• Virginia Street is two-way traffic from Vassar Street to Plumb Lane.
• Construction on the west side of the roundabout at Center/Mary Streets continues and will last through mid June. One-way southbound traffic is detoured through the east side of the roundabout.
• Crews placing center medians, raising utilities, striping the roadway and installing landscaping and lighting on Virginia Street from Liberty Street to Center/Mary Streets.
RTC’s Route 1, RAPID Virginia Line, and UNR-Midtown Direct southbound routes have returned to their normal routes and bus stop locations. Northbound routes on Virginia Street are still on a detour. Check route and schedule information at rtcwashoe.com.
