Virginia Street Midtown Update

May 15, 2020

Construction News

Another project milestone was reached this week as Sierra Nevada Construction (SNC) paved Virginia Street in Midtown from Liberty Street to Center/Mary Street. Still to come in this section, crews will begin working on the west side of the Center/Mary Street roundabout, place center medians, raise utilities, stripe the roadway and install landscaping. The Midtown segment is anticipated to reach substantial completion in Mid-august – three months ahead of schedule.

The section near the University of Nevada, Reno is on schedule. Work is focused near the roundabout north of 15th Street, transit station construction, and building demolition between 8th Street and 9th Street. This section is anticipated to be complete in the fall.
