Special Edition Stakeholder Update | May 8, 2020

Governor Sisolak is providing Nevadans guidance to move forward with Phase 1 of his Roadmap to Recovery. This means that some businesses may reopen in a limited capacity beginning this weekend.

The RTC and SNC are continuing with accelerated construction operations on Virginia Street in Midtown. Paving operations are continuing as scheduled for next week, and Virginia Street will reopen to one-way, southbound traffic on Friday, May 15. It is important to get this work done so that we can finish this segment of the project early. We are currently set to reopen the roadway to two-way traffic three months ahead of schedule (by end of August).

Next week, we ask for your patience as we work together to get Midtown moving again. Virginia Street will be closed to all traffic from Liberty Street to Center Street/Mary Street. All businesses within the construction zone will be accessible by side streets and brand-new, wide sidewalks.

Resources for Businesses: If you are a business owner or an employee who has questions or concerns about customer access or deliveries, please call the project hotline at (775) 300-1848 or email info@VirginiaStreetProject.com.

Resources for Customers: Construction team members and flaggers are available to help you navigate to businesses. We recommend reaching out to the business you plan to visit for the best directions to access the business.

SNC construction crews continue to follow OSHA guidelines and are maintaining social distancing and wearing face coverings for their safety and the safety of the general public.

Thank you for staying Midtown Strong!
