Upcoming Free Transit Days

The RTC is excited to announce two upcoming free transit days.

On Election Day, Tuesday, November 6, the RTC will offer free rides on all RTC transit services all day and encourages the public to vote. Not all voting locations are served by transit, so be sure to plan your trip in advance.

On Veterans Day, Sunday, November 11, the RTC will also offer free rides on all RTC transit services to everyone all day. The RTC salutes our Veterans. To plan your trip, visit rtcwashoe.com.

Construction Update, November 2, 2018 

Traffic control on Virginia Street will consistently stay one-way southbound for most of construction.  Side street closures will vary as crews work on utilities throughout Midtown.  The utility work is occurring throughout the length of the project requiring closures at different times and locations.

 

 

Week of November 5, 2018

  • Eastbound California Street from Forest Street to South Virginia Street will be closed on Friday, November 2 to Friday, November 9 daily from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. To access South Virginia Street from California Street, please use Forest Street to St. Lawrence Avenue.
  • Various side street closures at Pueblo Street, Arroyo Street, LaRue Avenue, Taylor Street and Cheney Street at Virginia Street.  Side streets will not be closed at the same time.
  • Two-way traffic at Liberty Street and Virginia Street with lane shifts.
